Unwound - nice reminder. I remember them playing in that community centre up Southover St (whatever it is called) nearly 10 years ago. No stage, they just played. Very good memory.

Great round-up of a successful year--hopefully I'll have a chance to post my thoughts on 2009 sometime soon.

One quick point regarding the carbon footprint (and for a brief second, please ignore the fact that I'm writting this from a location on the other side of the planet, on a trip that has its own very sizable footprint). I thoughly recommend that the trip to Berlin and certainly Paris are taken by train. In my experience, not only is it more relaxing, enjoyable and convinient (arriving in the center of the city rather than 10 miles away, no checked luggage, no waiting around in departure lounges etc.) but the planet will thank you also.

It's been a great pleasure working alongside you for the last 6 or so months, and I'm very much looking forward to another great year ahead. Happy Christmas and a merry New Year!
