Update: I’ve now met with Arran in person to discuss my post and its fallout. I stand by my points, but the excessive reaction from a few commenters has been harmful to both us and the community. It’s time to move on, and a permanent record of our dispute isn’t useful to either party. Therefore I have removed this post.
